The Vegan Cookie Swap at Keepin’ It Kind.
We all know that KIK is an incredibly beautiful and nom-tastic recipe site. Kristy takes that a step further with a full-scale, month-long cookie swap – and I’m kicking it off! Check out my recipe for super easy, super pleasin’ Chai Chocolate Chip Cookies, and keep checking back all month long for blow-your-mind recipes.
Fabulous Fashionistas Documentary on Channel 4.
Oh, British television is such a revelation. This documentary, which follows women 80 years old and up who have amazing personal style, is lush with not only “hell yeah” moments, but with life lessons we can all benefit from. From suffering great loss, to experiencing ageism, to living in poverty – these tough dames charge on, leading happy lives and crafting enviable and confident personal style from catalogues and charity shoppes. I laughed (a lot at Baroness Trumpington – she’s boss). I cried. I felt warm and wonderful inside. The link to the YouTube version has since been removed, but I bet someone crafty could find it. You gotta see this. Simply one of the most feel-good docs I’ve seen in ages.
Another gem from the UK is this Glamour-backed digital mag about all things cruelty-free. Not only is it free and gorgeous, but the first issue is packed with delish collages and guides. I even did a little ditty in it about my favorite cruelty-free products, but that’s only a tiny part of the goodness here.
